I took a quick look under the new Facebook Business Pages hood today, a kind of getting my feet wet. I like what I saw, but also immediately noticed some pretty big changes which will impact a lot of work that has already been done on Facebook Fan Pages. I’ll try to cover these in individual posts. This one is about tabs.
I’ve grown accustomed to Facebook tabs and even worked the the latest https changes, but it looks like bigger changes are on the way for tabs. Changes that the Facebook team appears to be keeping on the QT.
Tabs are now images. That’s right. 111×74 pixels to be exact. I understand why FB is doing this, but I really wanted to just add a page with some disclaimer information. I’ll have to explore this a bit more and follow up with my solution. But at a first glance I like what I see.
