Facebook Rolling Out “Want” Button

We have been anticipating the “Want” button for a few months and now those speculations have been confirmed when Facebook yesterday rolled out “Collections”. Collections provides the technology for users to identify products they “want” from images that brands post to their pages. So brands – start posting your products!

How it works:

  • “Want”: adds the product to a Timeline section of a user’s profile called “Wishlist”
  • “Collect”: adds the item to a Collection called “Products”
  • “Like”: a special version of the standard “Like” button that also adds the item to “Products”
